BY med mere (Cities and More) is a small Danish company founded in 2021, offering consultancy services in urban development and the facilitation of new collectives and shared housing models. Based in a small village in central Zealand, the company is owned and led by Pernille Bech. It is involved in several local initiatives and participates in a Horizon Europe project within the New European Bauhaus framework.

Pernille Bech holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Psychology (Cand.merc.psyk) from Copenhagen Business School and a Master’s in Strategic Urban Planning from the Royal Danish Academy of Architecture. With a professional background as a change manager and head of urban planning, she focuses on how urban environments and living conditions impact people’s lives and mental well-being. As an urban planner, she has led several transformative projects, including the redevelopment of a former prison site into a mixed-use urban area, the creation of shared housing for both young people and the elderly, and planning green spaces in suburban settings.

In 2023, Pernille completed the Power of Place course at the Really Regenerative Centre CIC and has since applied regenerative, place-based processes in her work with citizens and students in Kalundborg. Most recently, she has joined an Interreg-funded project, where she continues working with the New European Bauhaus approach and regenerative place-based learning alongside Danish and German young adults in education.
